Spacecoast Architects, P.A. is a fully licensed and insured Architectural firm practicing for nineteen years in the State of Florida. Spacecoast Architects, P.A. provides full architectural and engineering services for residential, commercial and institutional projects. The firm provides services to their clients from preliminary site selection and analysis, through design and construction, to final building occupancy. The major focus of the work designed by Spacecoast Architects is in the area of sustainable design, with an emphasis on energy efficiency and issues relating to indoor air quality standards. Lawrence Maxwell, AIA, President of Spacecoast Architects, P.A. is the former Director of the State of Florida’s Building Design Assistance Center at the Florida Solar Energy Center, and is a recognized expert in the area of hot-humid climate design. He has provided expertise and consulting to the State of Florida’s Department of Management Services and Florida Department of Education, as well as numerous local governments, cities, and School Boards on issues of environmental design and energy efficiency. Projects designed by the firm include single family residences from 1,000 square feet to over 20,000 square feet. Institutional projects include Assisted Care Living Facilities, Alzheimer Care Living Facilities, public libraries, city hall facilities, public and private schools from Kindergarten through 12th grade, and Community Colleges. Commercial projects include banks, restaurants, hotel conference and banquet facilities, commercial retail centers, professional and medical office buildings, movie theater complexes, and a public radio station. Projects the firm has designed range from under $250,000 to greater than $15 million. |
